My research departs from a great fascination for the simple, often boring things that surround contemporary life, and my curiosity to explore their potential identity.
Driven by this curiosity, I design situations in which mundane things become complex characters.
Taking a critical yet humorous look at the contemporary human, these situations explore the relation(s) between humans and their natural or built environments through the lens of their thing-characters. The characters are continuously re-invented, uncovering possible perspectives that inhabit them and changing the way in which their relationship to humans is framed. A performer or guide activates each of these layers of the situation while navigating the spectator through space by instructing, narrating, connecting and juxtaposing the different characters.
